Our History
RISE Clinic Nigeria was founded on the belief that healthy communities lead to economic and overall prosperity, and that proven healthcare delivery models in developed countries can be successfully implemented in any part of the world when the local community is engaged.
In 2012, RISE Global Health Initiative, a 501(c)3 charitable organization in the U.S. and the Godwin & Patricia Okeke Foundation in Nigeria developed an international partnership to form the RISE-GOPAT Healthcare Foundation, duly registered with the federal government of Nigeria. Through this foundation, the partners developed and managed RISE Clinic Nigeria. RCN began as site for primary care but quickly scaled into a full service health institution providing specialty, ancillary and inpatient services to the community.
Today RCN operates with a growing team of health professionals, impacted over 5000 community members, and continues to work with international health and academic institutions to provide educational and training opportunities to its staff and professionals in the local community.
RISE Clinic Community Impact
Phase 1
An Outpatient Clinic (April 2012) with Physicians, Nurses and Pharmacists.
Phase 2
Development of Ancillary Services, Clinical Imaging and Clinical Lab (Sep - Dec 2012), development of additional specialties - Physical Therapy (2013), Neurology (Aug 2013 and Infectious Diseases (Feb 2014).
Phase 3
Development of new specialty, Maternal & Child Care (June 2014) as well as Inpatient Service (June 2014).
Phase 4
Development of Clinical Service Network to support Primary Health Centers in our community.
