RISE Clinic Laboratory is aimed at improving clinical outcomes by maintaining the gold standard in laboratory and clinical diagnosis of diseases and monitoring of the efficacy and the tolerability of current drug therapies.
RCN Clinical Laboratory include the following services:
Medical Microbiology/Parasitology
The microscopic examination in the laboratory is aimed at the proper diagnosis and detection of bacteria in the blood stream, gastro-intestinal organs, urine, semen, etc. Other test routinely carried out in the microbiology/parasitology laboratory are urethral swab, Malaria Parasite and Widal tests, semen analysis and microscopy, culture and sensitivity (M/C/S) tests, microfilaria diagnosis, urine, stool and High Vaginal Swab (HVS) analysis, gram staining for bacteria identification and sensitivity, etc.
Hematology/Virology
Hematology estimation in the laboratory is an integral part of the RISE Clinic Laboratory. Tests done under hematology and virology include measuring the blood parameters for abnormality like the blood differentials, examination for various viral infections like RVS, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, syphilis, full blood count, complete blood count with differentials, blood grouping, genotype, blood pack cell volume, etc.
Chemical Pathology/Immunology
With our highly sophisticated, effective, and reliable chemical pathology analyzers each with its own reference ranges, our chemistry tests provide high accuracy and efficiency. Quality control measures are performed on all our machines to maintain accuracy and functionality. Tests conducted here include Hemoglobin A1C and blood glucose, lipid profile (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglyceride), serum urea and creatinine, body electrolytes, liver/kidney function tests, urinalysis, occult blood, PSA, total protein, etc.
Clinical Research
Our laboratory is fully equipped with modern equipment favorable for scientific research. We partner with local and international institutions to conduct research. Data obtained can provide insight on how to further improve the quality of services and public health policies in the country. Individuals and institutions may collaborate with RCN to conduct experiments by submitting a proposal to our clinical research department for approval.
Antenatal Laboratory
Our antenatal laboratory is exclusively designed for pregnant women for their various routine tests during antenatal visit/clinic days.
Infectious Disease Laboratory
Our infectious disease laboratory is fully equipped with adequate facilities to diagnose andmonitor acute and chronic infectious diseases such as malaria, HIV, tuberculosis and other infections. Our viral load and CD4 count machines allow us to properly diagnose and monitor patients infected with HIV and provide diagnostic support services to HIV centers in the area.
